Those teary eyes of yours, yeah, that's a cute look too The way you hate to lose is kinda cute, through and through A silly little slip, you never meant to do it wrong But that's your kind of charm, it's been there all along Your messy bedhead hair, a sleepy "morning" yawn You trip over your feet before the day has dawned The days you can't keep cool, when nothing goes your way You somehow shine the brightest, wonder why, I say Hey, who gets to tell us what the word "cute" should mean Why paint yourself into a shade you've never been So many shades of cute, and don't you know A single color's never gonna be enough, oh no The tears you try to hide, the brave face that you wear They're all a part of us, and every shade is there So many shades of cute, and yeah, it's true Why even try comparing, what a waste to do Just line up all our colors standing side by side Look, the most amazing view you'll ever find You look so cool and calm but lonely deep inside A clumsy mess for sure, but with a heart you cannot hide No two of all our shades could ever be the same That's why I wanna be right here, you feel the same On one of those rough days, just walking our way home We didn't say a word, just side by side alone You never need to be the perfect shade to shine A little smudged around the edges, that's just fine Hey, look at me today, I found a brand new hue A shade of who I am I didn't even know So many shades of cute, and don't you know I'm looking just a little different, even so On all my best days, yeah, and on my worst days too They're painting every part of me in every hue So many shades of cute, and yeah, it's true There's never been a "right" answer, we always knew Go on and bleed the lines or color past the frame 'Cause that's the way we draw, and we are not ashamed "Be more like this, be more like that" How many times I tried to paint it over, make it flat But you were right beside me and I heard you when you said "I love your colors just the way they are instead" No label, we don't need the ones that someone chose We'll name our colors on our own, that's how our colors grow So many shades of cute, and don't you know We never need a single answer, let it show Our colors ever changing, blending in the air It makes me love us even more, beyond compare So many shades of cute, and yeah, it's true These are the colors only meant for me and you So every single shade, don't ever lose a one Let's go and find the shades we've never known, let's run
