LINER NOTES
Crybaby, stubborn, bedhead, clumsy. This track does not fix those things into something more acceptable before calling them kawaii. It takes the word back before anyone tidied it up. Crying faces, bluster, days where nothing worked, colors that smudged, lines that went outside — all of it counts, and none of it gets corrected first.
The voice in this track is not a cheerful correction. It is deeper than that — a release from whoever decided what kawaii was supposed to be. You do not have to force yourself into the approved shape. Mel:Chroma’s kawaii multiplies, mixes, changes. It has no final form to return to.
Green here is not gentle. It is the color of proliferation. “No name needed.” “A color I’ve never seen before.” Kawaii arrives before it is classified, before it is named, before it is permitted. The track is the drawn line that exists before anyone decides whether it is inside or outside.
If the Crayon Rush Mix in START HERE carries the energy of kawaii going past the borders, this track is the act of redrawing where the border goes. Not clumsiness that needs correcting — clumsiness that already is the color.
