“I know I’m the best.” The voice saying that is not simply confident. It is telling itself. Lovable idol. Everyone’s dream. All eyes on me. The words land strong, and the strength is the tell — it is armor, not armor you were born with. Confidence worn this precisely is confidence that had to be put on.

Being seen by everyone, being admired, being called kawaii. Each of those is a blessing and a form of self-prescription at the same time.
