The lyrics are lined with words like code, data, shutdown, and bug. Is the feeling an error in the circuit, or something that can truly be called love? Unable to decide, the artificial girl leans, as her power fades, toward wanting to believe in love anyway.
In the acoustic version, the core of the melody is placed closer. As the hard texture of the electronics steps back, the fragile sadness draws near. With the flashy glow receded, the anxiety left deep in the voice is easier to see.
Unable to find her own mark in the mirror, afraid she might lose her name, she still finds the tears coming back. Even if love is just a bug, a pain remains that won't let her say so. Violet is the color resting at the bottom of a darkness with no answer. This track descends there, quietly.
