LINER NOTES
The words in this track do not only carry meaning. They carry sensation before meaning has a chance to form. A blurred, hiragana-adjacent sound. A repeated voice that loops before it explains itself. A phrase that half-unravels in the middle. You receive something before you understand it. That is the point.
Kawaii here is treated as a signal before translation. The lyrics hold their Japanese shape but loosen at the edges, letting gaps open where interpretation would normally be. Even incomplete, even slightly broken, the music connects. That is the argument of the track: that kawaii does not require successful transmission to transmit.
Yellow rises not as the full brightness of day but as a blinking signal — visible in the noise, persistent without needing to be loud. The light shows kawaii at the moment before it becomes language, and then the song ends before anyone gets to define it.
